President Ruto officially open the Border Police Hospital, Kanyonyoo, Kitui County

President William Ruto yesterday officially opened a 130 specialised bed capacity Border Police Hospital in Kanyonyoo, Kitui County

He said the government of Kenya is remodeling the National Police Service (NPS) through a raft of reforms to build capacity, boost morale and enhance its ability to protect lives and property.

Ruto said the government will allocate Sh20billion to facilitate retooling of the service to boost their aerial and ground capabilities in order to adequately tackle the contemporary security challenges.

The hospital is a Level 4 facility at Kanyonyo in Kitui County.
