Nairobi Water issues two days supply disruption advisory along Waiyaki Way
The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company(NCWSC) has announced a two days water disruption advisory along Waiyaki Way from Kabete Treatment Works due to Nairobi expressway construction.
The water supply pipeline will be shut from tomorrow 6:00am on to Friday at 6:00am so as to facilitate interconnection of relocated pipelines to the old pipeline along Waiyaki way road and Professor Wangari Maathai Road.
“This will enable the release of the road section between Old Safariconhouse, the junction of Waiyaki way Road and Prof Wangari Maathai Road to the Expressway Road contractor,” the notice read in part.
Among areas to be affected include; Estates along Waiyaki way Road, Rhapta Road, Parklands Road, Mpaka Road, Chiromo Lane, Manyani Road, and Church Road.
Others are; Highridge and Westlands areas, Muguga Green Estate, Nairobi School, Kabete barracks, MP Shah Hospital, Sarit Center, and the surrounding buildings.
The company has appealed to affected for indulgence and also urge them to use available water supply sparingly.
