Police probes activist Boniface Mwangi’s family home ‘bomb’ attack

Police are investigating the alleged bomb and vandalisation incident of activist Boniface Mwangi’s family home in Lukenya, Machakos County.
This is after the outspoken activist claimed that the bombing in his house was orchestrated by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua but maintained his actions won’t silence him from speaking out.
In a statement, the National Police Service confirmed that a report was filed today morning at Thika Police Station of armed attackers that ambushed the workers, robbed them and bombed the building which is still under construction at Kinanie Location.
“…a report was this morning filed at Thika Police Station by one Issac Ouma that a house belonging to one Boniface Mwangi, located at Kinanie Location, was attacked by three unknown men in a white pickup Registration Number not known and allegedly armed with pistols,” stated the police.
According to NPS, the attackers accosted the site workers, robbed them off personal effects and assaulted the building still under construction with detonators causing three holes.
Police have since visited the scene as manhunt for the suspects continue.
According to Mwangi, Mutua thugs bombed his house under construction, sank the foundation and robbed his workers.
“I can’t go there now for safety reasons. I know it’s Mutua because he is a molester and an abusive man. He won’t silence me,” Mwangi said.
He questioned the motive behind the heinous act, adding he has never compromised his values by being a criminal or engage in deals.
“I’m not a criminal. I don’t do deals. I have never comprised my values. The state has blown up the house my family was building. The bullets, the explosives they used, are on the scene. So what kind of country are we living in?” Mwangi posed.
Mwangi now wants police to investigate the incident and arrest those behind the same.
