Police launch manhunt for driver of the Migaa killer trailer
Police in Nakuru have launched a massive manhunt for driver of the trailer that is believed to have caused an accident on Wednesday evening in which five people died at Migaa area near Salgaa on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
Nakuru Traffic Enforcement Officer Zero Arome said the police are looking for the driver of the trailer who fled from the scene immediately after the grisly accident to aid in investigations where lives were lost.
“We are looking for the driver of the trailer, who escaped immediately after the crash to aid in investigations into the accident,” said Arome.
According to Arome, the bus driver was on the wrong since he miscalculated when overtaking while on high speed.
The accident, which occurred a few minutes past 6pm, is alleged to have been caused by the trailer which was headed to Nakuru town after the driver lost control while driving downhill crushing nine other motor vehicles.
Some of the vehicles involved in the crash were headed to Eldoret and others to Nakuru Tow
