Pastor Ng’ang’a moves to High Court stop his intended prosecution
Pastor James Ng’ang’a has moved to the High court seeking to orders stopping his intended prosecution over allegations of obtaining money by false pretences.
In court documents,Ng’ang’a says his prosecution is purely of a civil matter rising out of a lease agreement of two parcels of land in Karen, Nairobi county entered into on April 6,2016.
“The criminal investigations against me and intended prosecution is based on a purely commercial transactions which falls under the ambit of a civil suit,” he says.
In the case he has sued the DPP, IG, DCI for instituting criminal investigations and the intend to arraign him tomorrow for purposes of taking plea.
He wants the the intended prosecution be restrained or stopped pending the hearing and determination of the petition.
