Newly appointed Correctional Services PS Esther Ngero resigns from President Ruto cabinet
Turbulence has for the second time hit the president William Ruto’s dream team after newly appointed Principal Secretary, State Department of Correctional Services Esther Ngero served a resignation letter to her appointing authority, the president.

Ngero has quit the plum post barely a fortnight after she was moved to docket she has just relinquished from the Performance and Management docket at the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi in the same capacity.
This comes in the wake of a purge by president Ruto where he sacked Health PS Josephine Mburu over Sh3.7billion tendering scam at the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) of Global Fund financed purchase of 10 million treated mosquito nets.
According to a quick dispatch from State House today, the president through the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei said Ngero resigned on her own volition.
“His Excellency the president has received and accepted with regret the resignation of Esther Ngero, Principal Secretary for Correctional Services, who is leaving office for personal reasons.” The statement read in part.
Ngero is a certified accountant and has served at the petroleum sector for almost two decades.
In her previous docket, president Ruto nominated former Kiambu County Finance Chief Officer Faith Njeri Harrison to succeed Ngero and Mudavadi’s office.

Njeri is set to be vetted by parliament amid controversies of fake currency court matter she is facing following her arrest a while back.
