NHIF suspends claims on diagnostic tests in hundreds of hospitals

The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) has suspended claims on diagnostic tests at hundreds of small and medium sized health facilities across the country.

NHIF accused the health facilities of making claims on procedures they do not provide and has advised the general public to instead go to reputable private hospitals like Mp Shah, Nairobi and Aga Khan.

NHIF CEO, Geoffrey Mwangi has said the suspension was a move to stop the fraudsters and legal action has already been taken against some medical centres.
