Speaking to Informer Media after his game, Nduva highlighted the strong start to a good display overall on the course
Kenya’s professional golfer based at Nyali Golf Club Daniel Nduva is a happy man after a fantastic round of play in Round 1 of the 25 Magical Kenya Open at the Park 71 Muthaiga Golf Club today.
The 29-year-old former Savannah Classic Champion finished on a score total of -1(70) on the board to give himself a shout at the crucial cut point come Friday and probably beyond.
Speaking to Informer Media after his game, Nduva highlighted the strong start to a good display overall on the course.
” I feel like I did not play my best and I could have done better but I cannot complain really. It was a good round but there are some shots that were careless in the front nine that I must improve. The overall conditions were good and so I was not as affected. Same plan tomorrow where I will try to muster a few more outer to finish lower and stronger,” he said.
Nduva is now focused on brushing up at the range and greens to sharpen his game.
” A few hits and chips would be good ahead of tomorrow. I feel there is still a lot I can offer on the course. I hope and pray the course conditions do not become too tough on players but I will only focus on how I can get the best of my game.”
The player ranked 4539th in the world also believes Kenyans need to just push the limits and fight with their peers.
” Belief is a powerful took a d if one just okays well, then the rest will fit. I do not see why us guys at home cannot do well in a familiar ground. It can be doable and we have to in for that However, it is about taking one round at a time.”
