Selection interview for PS nominees set to begin on Wednesday
Over dozen officials who served in various posts of Chief Administrative Secretary and Principal Secretary in the immediate former administration have been nominated again pending approval by President William Ruto.
From 9,000 applicants 477 have been shortlisted among them 15 CAS and PS from the jubilee government administration.
The 15 listed include Dr. Mercy Mwangangi (CAS health), Susan Mochache (Health), Esther Koimett (Broadcasting and communication), Belio Kipsang (Regional and Northern Corridor Development), Saitoti Torome (Planning), Nelson Marwa (Devolution) Jerome Ochieng (ICT) Fatuma Hirsi (Tourism), Kirimi Kaberia (Industrialization), Sarah Ruto (CAS education), Simon Nabukwesi (University education and research) Fatuma Hirsi (PS broadcasting), Julius Ouma Jwan (Early Learning), Fatuma Chege (CBC), Winnie Guchu (CAS, State Law Office), Safina Kwekwe (Gender affairs) and Charles Hinga (PS Housing) .
The list also contains names that most may feel are loyalist and poll losers being rewared such as Lang’ata Parliamentary aspirant of UDA Party ticket Nixon Korir, Issac Mwaura, former Nairobi deputy governor John Mweke and Chris Wamalwa.
“Selection interviews to fill the advertised positions of Principal Secretaries in the public service will be held between October 12 and 22, 2022, following the conclusion of shortlisting of applicants by the Public Service Commission,” said Browne Kutswa Corporate Communication Public Service Commission.
