A middle aged man was murdered and the body dumped along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway in what is believed to be another case of extra-judicial killing.
The lifeless body whose head was covered in a paper bag and had a wire around the neck was dumped near Delamere farm in Naivasha.
So far over twenty people have been murdered and dumped along the highway and on Naivasha- Mai Mai Mahiu road since the year began.
Just like in the other cases, the man did not have identification documents and had been murdered elsewhere before he was dumped in Naivasha. A flower farm worker Morris Kamau said that they were on their way to work when they saw the body lying a few meters from the highway.
“The man had a wire around his neck, his head was covered in a plastic paper bag and no one around this area knows him,” he said.
Confirming the incident, Naivasha sub-county commissioner Isaac Masinde said that the body had been collected and taken to Naivasha mortuary.
Masinde said that initial investigations indicated that the man was murdered elsewhere and later ferried to Naivasha where he was dumped.
