Man charged with cyber harassment, tried to extort UDA aspirant with ‘nudes’
A man has been charged today at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi for Extorting money from Jackline Mwenesi Lukalo, a candidate for Vihiga County Woman Representative using obscene images.
Tyson Wabuti Emitekho was charged with Cyber harassment contrary to the Law.
He was presented at the Milimani Law Courts where he was charged with computer harassment and computer misuse for sending two nude photos and offensive messages on WhatsApp from his phone to another of Jackline Mwenesi Lukalo.
He denied the charges and was given a cash bail of Sh100,000 or alternative bond of Sh400,000.
It is believed that on March 13,2022, the accused sent a WhatsApp message and nude photos to Mwenesi threatening to expose the MCA.
In the said message, the accused appears to be blaming Mwenesi for allegedly sexually exploiting young boys from Vihiga County.
The accused is said to have obtained Sh42,000 on diverse dates from Mwenesi threatening to expose her in default.
Tired of the extortion, the nominated MCA sought help from the DCI to block the criminal from taking advantage of her moral once and for all.
Appearing before Magistrate Robert Shikwe, the suspect denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh400,000 and an alternative cash bail of Sh100,000.
The case will be heard on April 8, 2022.
