Magoha bans allotment of success cards bearing politicians potraits

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has issued a ban on the allotment of success cards to candidates bearing political portraits.
Speaking yesterday at Mwiyala Secondary School during the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), Magoha urged county commissioners and education officials to destroy any success cards with political portraits issued to students who are set to sit for national examinations in March this year.
“Ensure that you destroy any success messages sent to students bearing political portraits without fear or favour. Our children are not in politics they are just children,” he directed.
He further stated that the government will not allow strangers in examination centres during the national examinations urging contractors to hasten the construction and finish before the exams.
“Examinations will be starting at the beginning of March this year so if we can all complete outbuildings before as I have been assured by very many or latest by the beginning of March it will give us time to focus on the exams and allow us to start the second phase at the end of the exam which is in April,” he pointed out.
This year, four groups of learners (two from primary and two from secondary schools) are expected to sit for their national examinations.
The first set is the 2021 KCPE candidates who will sit for their examinations between March 7 and March 10, while KCSE will be conducted between March 11 to April 1.
The second set of KCPE and KCSE exams will be conducted from November and will be taken by the class of 2022.
KCPE will run between November 28 and December 1, while KCSE will be done from December KCPE will run between November 28 and December 1, while KCSE will be done from December 1 to December 23.
