Love birds held by police over murder of 22-year-old woman in Kisumu in suspected love rivalry case
Two love birds, a man and his girlfriend are now guests of the state and are being held at Kisumu Central Police Station in connection with the suspected murder incident a 22-of year-old woman who is said to have plunged to her death after allegedly being pushed from the second floor of a storey building at Lolwe estate over a suspected love triangle.
Kisumu Central Sub-county police boss Peter Mulai said the deceased engaged in an altercation with the two leading to the incident on Monday night.
Mulai noted that the man aged 30 is suspected to have pushed the woman from the balcony of his house leading to her death.
The police boss said that according to witnesses, the neighbours, the deceased had followed the man, 30, to the house and found him with another woman, 25, when a confrontation ensued and the deceased was pushed down from the balcony.
Thereafter, the man is said to have driven the lady to a hospital but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The duo will be arraigned and charged upon completion of investigations.
