Karen residents petition IG over noise, mugging around Ruto’s home

Karen Resident Association have petitioned Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai of rising cases of mugging and noise around Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen residence.
According to the association chairperson, James Hirst, they have received constant complains from members residing along the Karen road and residents commuting via the same route and the adjacent.
He said they have received complaints of insecurity, noise and traffic gridlock attributed to entourages entering Ruto’s official residence.
“Residents have complained of rising cases of mugging along the route conducted by aliens masquerading as visitors to your residence,” read the letter.
“The association is highly alarmed by the ever presence of suspicious persons roaming around the area against its rule on loitering.”
The association says that there is always rampant traffic gridlock as a result of visitors parking on the roadsides and bayleaves awaiting clearance to Ruto’s residence.
They now want Mutyambai to look into the matter and restore peace and tranquility in their neighborhood.
Ruto has been meeting leaders from different ethnicity in his residence to consolidate support for his presidential bid in the 2022 political face-off.
