Kiambu court jails teenage girl for 10 years over the murder of a cousin aged 1 year and 8 months
A Kiambu based court has jailed a teenage girl aged 16 years for ten years in connection with the murder of her one-year and eight months old cousin in August last year.
According to the ruling, the minor will serve “the first two years at a borstal institution and the remaining 8 years at Langata Women Prison at which the minor will have attained the age of majority.”
In agreeing with the prosecution, the Judge noted that a custodial sentence was deserving of the subject who killed her innocent cousin.
The convict is said to have suffocated her cousin to death and then threw her body in a borehole.
According to investigations, the minor prior to the killing of her cousin, had also killed her three siblings, whose deaths are pending the completion of a probe.
