HF Group appoints Britam Holdings MD Charles Njuguna as its director

Housing Finance Company (HFC) Group plc has appointed Britam acting group Managing Director Charles Kimani Njuguna as its Non-executive director effective January 14.

Njuguna takes over an acting capacity from Tavaziva Madzinga, who resigned after barely 10 months after he joined.

Madzinga joined on 1st February 2021 following the retirement of Benson Wairegi who had served in the company for more than four decades.

“The Board is confident that the Company will immensely benefit from Njuguna’s skills, knowledge, and experience,” Kuria Muchiru, Britam Board Chairman said.

Njuguna joined Britam in March 2021 as the Finance Director, with his over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector.

In his career, he has managed transformational projects, having worked with ABN Amro Bank, GT Bank, Old Mutual, Family Bank as the CFO and Faulu Micro-Finance Bank as the Managing Director.

He holds an MBA, a Master’s in Finance from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from United States International University- Africa.

He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries.
