Fire Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi too, Thika residents tell president Ruto

A section of Thika residents have recommended that President William Ruto also sack his Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi as part of his bid to form a broad-based government.

Speaking hours after Ruto dismissed his cabinet, the residents led by Maina Macharia said that leaving Mudavadi behind will only worsen the rot in government as he has been the CS’s prefect.

They called on Ruto to conduct a total overhaul in his government and consider appointing more accountable leaders with a heart of service.

According to them, the move by the Head of State to clean-up his government is welcome but no stone should be left unturned, adding that the decision will pave the way for better leadership with a capacity to steer social-economic development in the country.

On his part, David Kariuki Ngari alias Gakuyo called on the government to ensure the fired cabinet secretaries are not assigned other roles in government.

He recommended that the CSs be allowed to venture into formal business-like other Kenyans for a peaceful co-existence.

Additionally, Gakuyo called on Ruto to conduct thorough interrogation of the CSs who will replace the sacked ones to restore order and accountability in his government.

Ruto today dissolved his cabinet ministers with immediate effect in what has been interpreted as a move to appease protesters who spent weeks seeking dissolution of the entire government.
