High-profile politicians barred from contesting in August polls

The National Integrity Alliance has blacklisted 20 high profile politicians from the August General Election over integrity issues.

The big names on the list include: Kirinyaga Governor Jubilee nominee Anne Waiguru and serving governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Evans Kidero (Nairobi), Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Kenneth Lusaka (Bungoma), Okoth Obado (Migori), Mwangi Wa Iria (Murang’a) and Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay) as well as Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko.
