The Directorate Criminal Investigation (DCI) has offered Sh10 million reward for information leading to the arrest of five profiled terror suspects.
DCI describes them as armed and dangerous who have either joined terror groups including al Shabaab and ISIS or have gone underground, planning attacks.
They are; Salim Mohammed, Trevor Ndwiga, Muhammad Abubakar, Elgiva Bwire, and Barigi Haila.
The self-confessed al Shaabab member, Bwire, alongside his lawyer Hassan Nandwa and his mother were taken by unknown persons is said to have gone underground.
“He vowed to carry out retaliatory attacks in the country against civilians and security personnel…and is believed to be planning said attacks,” stated DCI.
Bwire had been released on Thursday, October 28 from Kamiti Maximum prison after serving a 10-year prison term since 2011.
The National Police Service has informed members of the public that Bwire is Armed and Dangerous and appeals for any information regarding his whereabouts
Salim Rashid Mohamed also known as Chotara or Turki is being sought over terrorism charges and is suspected to have joined the Islamic State group in Mozambique.
“Mohamed is linked to various criminal activities in Mombasa and parts of South Coast, and is reportedly planning to sneak back into the country to carry out terror attacks,” authorities said.
Intelligence shows he is armed and dangerous and is about to sneak back into the country and execute a spate of terror attacks.
Trevor Ndwiga alias Idriss Jamal is suspected to have joined Al-Shabaab in Somalia, the DCI said, adding that he is planning to sneak back into Kenya to carry out terror attacks.
