Rally driver Asad Khan, who was allegedly assaulted by his girlfriend rally driver Maxine Wahome has died.
Khan died yesterday at Avenue hospital where he was receiving treatment following the domestic altercation.
His brother Adila Khan stated that he lost a lot of blood after the attack during Jamhuri Day.
The deceased’s family members had earlier Wednesday made a plea to members of the public for blood donation as he was in critical condition.
“We wish to request all friends and well-wishers to kindly keep him in your prayers. The hospital team at Avenue hospital ICU require 5 pints of blood group A+ or O+ for his ongoing treatment,” read the statement from the family.
Maxine was arrested last week on Monday at Asad’s apartment in Kilimani after his brother reported the matter to the police after being informed of the incident by the management of the residence
Reports indicate that police officers visited the scene and found that Asad had already been rushed to hospital while Wahome was still at the scene but appeared disturbed since some household goods were littered on the floor and staircase.
Additionally, one of the window pane glasses was broken as well as two door window pane glasses were also shattered.
Maxine was however released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 pending investigations into the alleged assault.
