Former Makueni governor Kibwana, lawyer Kanjama among shortlisted candidates for EACC chairperson

Former Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana, and lawyer Charles Kanjama are among the 14 shortlisted candidates for the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) chairperson position.

According to the Public Service Commission (PSC), other candidates shortlisted for the interviews include, Bishop David Onginde, Thomas Letangule, Susan Nekesa Ngera, Josiah Onyancha, Norah Chepkemoi Mutai, Eliud Wanjao Ngige, Kaberia Isaac Kubai, Amani Yuda Komora, Benjamin Adam Mure Mweri, Abdihafid Abdullahi Yarow, Justa Wawira Mwangi and Kenneth Sakwa Buliba.

Kibwana’s interview is slated for Monday 27th including Thomas Letangule, Benjamin Adam Mure Mweri, Abdihafid Abdullahi Yarow, Amani Yuda Komora, Kaberia Isaac Kubai and Eliud Wanjao Ngige.

On February 28, Bishop Oginde, Susan Nekesa Ngera, Josiah B Onyancha, Norah Chepkemoi Mutai, Kenneth Sakwa Buliba, Junta Wawira Mwangi and lawyer Charles Kanjama will face the panel.

The position of EACC Chairperson fell vacant in January following Eliud Wabukala’s retirement on January 17,2023 after serving in the commission for six years.
