Detectives based in Kwale county have launched a manhunt for a man who attacked his estranged wife with a hammer and a knife last night.
James Kimeu, 35, is said to have stabbed Caren Namubuya, 29, in the chest and hit her head severally with a hammer before fleeing, leaving her unconscious in a pool of blood.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the two had separated before Kimeu invited Namubuya to his house in a bid to reconcile.
“However, Kimeu locked the main door with a padlock and turned on her savagely, with a kitchen knife and a hammer,” stated DCI.
