Burna Boy face backlash over social discrimination remarks, kicking out napping fan from concert

Backlash against Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy continues to mount over his social discrimination remarks against financially struggling fans and kicking out a couple from his Denver concert for taking a nap while he was performing.

His action has attracted widespread condemnation and criticisms after the lady involved claimed the incident affected her negatively.

However, reacting to the concerns raised, Burna Boy seemed nonchalant stating that he didn’t beg for fans, boasting that he only values rich fans.

“Did I tell you all to be my fans? I am only looking for fans who have money this period,” he expressed.

Burna Boy’s response has sparked fresh debate about how he treats his fans, who are the main drivers of his musical success, with some threatening to “cancel” him.

This isn’t the first time the singer would be involved in a controversy with a fan. He previously made similar headlines after he kicked a starstruck male fan who stormed the stage to hug him while he was performing.

Burna Boy also once asked a fan to leave his concert for not dancing while he was performing.

He didn’t apologise for either occasion.
