Teachers to start using proposed curriculum tomorrow

Teachers will tomorrow start teaching the proposed new education curriculum in nineteen pilot schools in the country.

The teachers who have completed training at Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) have been posted to the proposed schools and centres.

In a press release, the institute says phase two of teachers training over the proposed curriculum to replace 8-4-4 system was ongoing countrywide and ask for stakeholders support for it to be successful.

The schools and centers, it says are Murang’a Teachers Training College, Migori Teachers Training College, Kisumu Polytechnic, Sigalagala Polytechnic, Kereri Girls in Kisii and Machakos Teachers Training College.
