Co-op Bank has announced the launch of their new executive plus lounge, which will provide personalised banking services, wealth planning and strategic support and a fully equipped executive boardroom, allowing executive banking customers to host business meetings.
Located at Westlands Square, it is a model of the private, elegant spaces that Co-op Bank is building across the country.
Speaking during the Executive Banking Captains Club Network event held alongside the launch, Co-opTrust Investment Services Managing Director Nicholas Ithondeka highlighted the importance of strategic investment in bonds and equity markets, among others, to unlock the full potential of passive income and wealth growth.
“These lounges are more than just banking halls; they are relationship hubs where wealth planning, personalised service, and strategic conversations thrive,” he said.
“Co-operative Bank is proud to be expanding this model to 10 locations including Nyali, Eldoret (Rupa Mall), Nakuru, Kisumu, Gigiri, and Karen — creating a national network of excellence for our executive banking clients. The Captains Club is not just a network — it’s a movement,” Ithondeka added.
Co-op Bank also has executive rooms at Co-op Bank’s Mombasa Road Centre and Ngong Road China Centre branches, which also cater for executive and high net worth banking.
For one to become an executive plus member, Co-op Bank charges a fee of Sh2,000. One should also submit a KRA PIN to be admitted.
Benefits of becoming an executive or executive plus member include dedicated executive centre managers in its executive plus suites; package lifestyle benefits through its partners; preferential foreign currency rates; access to transaction flexibility through Relationship Managers; customized insurance premium packages; priority contact centre access; and discounted brokerage rates and access to investments research materials through Co-op Bank’s Kingdom Securities investment arm.
Others include exclusive executive debit cards designed to give a customer priority service in all its branches and extended executive banking plus benefits to a member’s spouse.
Executive plus customers are also automatic members of Co-op Bank’s Captain’s Club.
