Suspect in morbid murder of Wells Fargo HR manager Willis Ayieko arrested

Detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a key suspect allegedly linked to the morbid killing of A suspect linked to the Wells Fargo Security company Human Resource Manager Willis Ayieko.

According to the office of DCI Director Amn Mohamed, the suspect identified s Vaictor Ouma Okoth has been profiled as the main architect of the horrific murder.

Ouma was flushed out of his hideout in Nairobi’s Dandora Phase IV yesterday night and is currently being held at Muthaiga Police Station.

He is said to have rented the house where he was seized using proceeds of the crime.

“The suspect was placed at the scene of crime through forensic analysis, in the forensic-led investigation being conducted by a joint team of DCI’s Homicide, CRIB and Operations detectives.” The DCI said.

Detectives also said that further investigations are ongoing to find Ouma’s accomplices.

This comes against new revelations that Ayieko was part of the team investigating Sh94million heist from the company that occurred in November last year.

Ayieko’s body was found on Wednesday near a stream in Nyamninia sub-location within Gem Yala, Siaya County.

He had reportedly gone missing on Friday, October 18, 2024, after attending a burial in North Gem location.

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024 Ayieko’s vehicle was found abandoned near a petrol station in Sabatia, Vihiga county.
