Samburu governor receives elders backing for second term

Samburu county governor Moses Lenolkulal has been blessed by Samburu elders to contest for Samburu county governor’s office.

The elders said Lenolkulal’s government has made great achievements in health, education and agricultural sector for the past five years and thus the governor ought to be given a chance to lead the county for a second term.

Jacob Lengaur one of the elders said the current county government needs another term to conclude its development projects.

“ His government has not sidelined us in employment opportunities, we have a director heading department of veterinary from our village, he has also constructed roads and health facilities in Samburu North,” said Lengaur.

Yamo Leshoe one of the elders said the community will now be supporting reelection of governor Lenolkulal adding that there is no any other candidate eying the county’s CEO job will be blessed.

Ben Lekenit said the community is happy with the leadership of Lenolkulal and that is why he has been blessed to be re-elected.

Meanwhile Lenolkulal received the blessings warmly saying it would contribute to his success on the polling day.

He boasted of development strides made by his government that persuaded the community to support his reelection.

However he urged his competitors and other aspirants eying various seats to run peaceful campaigns in ensuring peace is not disturbed in Samburu North sub county.
