Sakaja cleared, to face Igathe in Gubernatorial race

Kenya Kwanza’s Nairobi governor aspirant Johnson Sakaja has been cleared to vie for the governor’s seat by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Sakaja presented his documents at the Kasarani Gymnasium and was cleared by the Nairobi Counties Returning Officer Albert Gogo.

Sakaja assured Nairobi residents that he was ready to serve the people of Nairobi county and offer quality service to the people.

“Nairobi residents should avoid looking at tribe when voting. Let’s vote for leaders who have the interest of Nairobi at heart,” Sakaja said.

He assured his supporters that the Nairobi seat was theirs to win and bring the necessary leadership.

“Our march is unstoppable, our faith unshakeable and our victory is inevitable. We must make Nairobi work,” he said.

He added, “We must restore our city back to its former glory by offering our people order, dignity, hope, and opportunity for all.”

Sakaja was accompanied by Langata MP Nixon Korir and his running mate Njoroge Muchiri.
