Azimio La Umoja presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga will pitch tent in Rift Valley, the home and turf of Deputy President William Ruto.
This will be his first political visit after the United Kingdom trip; however, his itinerary is yet to show which particular areas the former premier will visit.
After wowing voters in the rift, Raila will head to western Kenya.
Using the best political minds in the Azimio la Umoja coalition, Raila will be seeking to penetrate DPs backyard and at least get a few votes in an area predominately known to be a Kenya Kwanza zone.
Raila was supposed to arrive on Sunday but passed through Dubai in what sources say was a personal visit and arrived yesterday.
In contrast, his team, including Siaya Senator James Orengo and former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth arrived in the country on Sunday.
Raila’s team says it will keep guarded its itinerary following the recent adjustments by the competitors who have been following the strategy used by the Azimio team.
“We are looking at the whole country, and I can assure you that you will get the schedule once it is ready.
But we have noticed when we release our schedule; the competitors adjust theirs,” stated one of his allies.
In Raila’s recent tour to the UK, he defended President Uhuru Kenyatta over attempts to curb corruption.
He stated that Ruto had been a stumbling block in the fight against graft.
