Buru Buru Girls teacher mysteriously dies in Diani, Kwale County

Police in Kwale County are investigating the mysterious death of a Buru Buru Girls High School teacher who died during a weekend getaway with friends.
Nelson Otsianda lifeless body was found lying in the hotel’s swimming pool the same day he along with four friends checked in at Gisimba Villas in Diani.
According to the OCPD Diani , Fanuel Nasio, the incident was reported as a drowning incident.
“The report given to us is that there was a guest who was swimming at the pool but drowned. We are still investigating the matter,” Nasio said.
However, CCTV footage shows that there was a confrontation between Nelson and an unidentified persons who are believed to have traveled to the coast with him.
“When we looked at the CCTV footage, it appeared like those he was with, attacked him, beat him and threw him into the pool,” said the deceased father, Cloud Otsianda.
The four are said to have arrived in Mombasa Saturday Morning and were expected to check out on the 15th, but they checked out on Sunday, a day earlier.
“Why did they check out before the family had arrived?” posed the deceased father.
According to the family, traces of blood and broken glasses were found by the pool.
The family now wants justice as they believe their son was murdered, based on CCTV footage.
“I appeal to the government that investigations be conducted and these teachers be held responsible,” Amauchi said.
Detectives have launched probe into the death of Nelson to find out how he died.
