Detectives attached to the Directorate of criminal Investigations yesterday arrested two wanted gangsters involved in Kisauni attacks.
The two were nabbed in Eastleigh Nairobi yesterday afternoon.
They are believed to have links with the outlawed Wakali Kwanza sect domiciled in Kisauni, Mombasa County.
Abdalla Abdillatif alias Bliza Bliza has been on police watch list profiled as armed and dangerous.
“Detectives acting on information have today arrested 23yo Ali Abdalla Abdillatif alias Bliza Bliza- a most wanted criminal from Kisauni, Mombasa.
He was arrested at 11th Street, Eastleigh together with 25 years old Daniel Muigai Nganga. Both in custody awaiting further police Action.” The DCI office said through a public notice.
The sect has been involved in indiscriminate attacks attacking locals through stabbing and shooting.
The proscribed group is believed to have links with the Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) known to harbor secessionist agenda.
They are associated with prostitution, robbery, rape, sodomy cases, drug trafficking and abuse, kidnappings and armed carjacking.
In Kenya, there are over 46 outlawed groups involved in criminal activities.
Despite enactment of Prevention of Organised Crimes Act in 2010, policing inadequacies in intelligence gathering coupled by inconclusive investigations have remained key security drawback.
