Body of the late Kenyan doctor to be flown from Cuba to Nairobi on Friday
The body of Dr Hamisi Ali Juma, a Kenyan medic who died mysteriously in Cuba, will arrive in the country on Friday.
This comes even as it emerged that the government had received postmortem results on the cause of his death from the Cuban government.
The autopsy results were handed in to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and then forwarded to Health Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
Yesterday, Joho confirmed receipt of the report but could not disclose the results of the autopsy only saying that the family of the late Dr Juma had been given the results. However, Likoni Member of Parliament Mishi Mboko who is a sister to the deceased claimed they were yet to see the postmortem results.
“We as a family do not want to dwell on that matter. Let’s focus on resting our brother. After the burial we will talk about what killed him,” she added.
