Principals and teachers in more than 3,000 schools face transfer as the TSC effects the third face starting from today.
The transfer targets 190 long-serving principals, deputy principals and thousands of teachers who operate within their locality. The teachers to be moved have worked in one station for more than nine years.
The teachers are to report to their new stations when schools open for first term next year.
According to the Ministry of Education’s calendar, schools close on Friday, October 27, and re-open on January 2.
Also to be moved are secondary school heads in county and sub-county institutions who were not affected in the first and second phase of the transfers.
The transfer of teachers is expected to spark a fresh conflict between the Teachers’ Service Commission and teachers’ unions.
