49 years old serial paedophile arrested for molesting juvenile aged 13 years in Homa Bay County
Police in Rachuonyo are holding a 49 years old man for allegedly defiling his employer’s daughter aged 13 in Kanyangari village within Homa Bay County.
The casual labourer was arrested over the weekend and detained after undergoing pre-charge processing before his scheduled arraignment today morning.
He was detained at Oyugis Police Station.
He is said to have warned the victim of dire consequences is she reported to her mother.
Assistant Chief of Kasimba sub-location Pius Odoyo said the suspect defiled the girl at a homestead where he has been working as a casual laborer.
The administrator said the minor revealed to them that the suspect defiled her on several occasions.
Charles Muga was arrested on Saturday evening for committing the heinous act against a class five pupil at a local primary school within Kasimba area.
Cases of sexual molestation against children has been on the rise in the recent past perpetrated by guardians and people close to them.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has a fully fledged Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit (AHTCPU) domiciled at the headquarters charged with the mandate of curbing child trafficking, sexual abuse and exploitation.
