Observe the law and serve Kenyans equally, Ruto urge newly sworn CSs

President William Ruto has told the new Cabinet Secretaries to respect the Constitution and uphold the rule of law as they discharge their mandate.

Speaking at State House Nairobi after he presided over the CSs swearing in event, he told them that they must respect their office and serve Kenyans equally.

“Our country must be run on the dictates of the Constitution; not on the whims of men,” he said.

“You have been sworn in to serve the people of Kenya. That is the minimum expected of us,” he added.

The President assured the country that the CSs have the requisite competence to undertake their duties and drive the country forward.

“These men and women have our unequivocal support in implementing our country’s transformation agenda,” he alluded.

Ruto assured members of his Cabinet of his full support as they assume office while calling for mutual respect between the Cabinet and elected officials and noted that the CSs will from time to time be appearing to the parliament to present their plans and progress of their dockets and to be held accountable on the same.
