President Ruto, Mudavadi grace Gedi inscription event at the National Museum of Kenya
President William Ruto and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi graced the celebration of the inscription of Gedi National Monument as Kenya’s 8th UNESCO World Heritage Site at the National Museums of Kenya in Nairobi.
Mudavadi noted that the success and impact of the listed Kenyan Heritage sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List is a clear testimony of the opportunities we have opened up for Kenya, the National Museums of Kenya fraternity and the Heritage Conservation Community at large.

The Researchers and Scientists he said were at the forefront of protecting Kenya’s rich biodiversity as well as mitigating the effects of climate change through various projects.
The event also marked 40 years since the discovery of Turkana Boy, a symbol of Kenya’s unparalleled contribution to human history.
