Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Abdi Guyo loses 4 relatives in a grisly road accident
The Nairobi County Assembly Majority leader Abdi Guyo lost four family members in a grisly road accident along the Isiolo-Nanyuki highway yesterday evening.
Confirming the accident, Isiolo County Commissioner Geoffrey Omoding said that those involved were Guyo’s brother Hassan Borana, 43, his brother’s wife Fatuma Hassan Borana, 39, their two kids Talasso Hassan Borana, 14, and Jamila Hassan, aged 10.
The brother and the family were on their way back to Isiolo from Nairobi when the accident occurred.
According to a police report filed at Subuiga Police Station in Buuri East Sub County in Meru County, the car developed a right tyre defect while on the way prompting the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The vehicle veered off the road and rammed into the fence. The four died on the spot.
The tragedy happened around 6:30pm at Maili Saba Area along the Meru-Isiolo-road.
The loss comes days after Isiolo governor Mohamed Kuti endorsed Guyo for the gubernatorial seat in the August 8 General Election.
