Gambian President Adama Barrow among foreign guests attending 61st Jamhuri Day celebrations

Gambian President Adama Barrow was among the notable guests at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi to celebrate Kenya’s Jamhuri Day fete.

The celebrations mark the 61st Jamhuri Day celebrations when Kenya became a republic on December 12, 1963.

Other notable guests are High Commissioners and Ambassadors from foreign countries.

Thousands of Kenyans thronged Ulinzi Complex amid tight security deployed throughout the venue to ensure the smooth flow of the event with the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) taking charge.
