Bebe Cool release ‘Circumference’ first single off upcoming album ‘Break The Chains’
Uganda’s music legend Bebe Cool has officially released Circumference, the highly anticipated first single from his forthcoming album Break The Chains.
The track is an exciting blend of Afrobeat rhythms and catchy melodies, showcasing Bebe Cool’s versatility as he embraces a more polished, international sound.
Circumference celebrates both a beautiful woman and the joy of dancing, blending romance with a carefree spirit.

“This is the beginning of a new dawn. I’ve always been deliberate about creating good, memorable music. Break The Chains is my challenge to push boundaries and set a new bar for African music, and I am excited to take you all on this journey,” he said.
Produced by Nigerian hitmaker PhilKeyz, Circumference blends Afrobeats signature rhythms with Bebe’s distinct voice and catchy melodies.
The song incorporates drum patterns, brass instrumentation and smooth keyboard lines, creating a timeless yet fresh sound.
Break The Chains is expected to be released in early 2025, and promises to explore new sonic territories, further cementing Bebe Cool’s place as one of Africa’s most influential artistes.
Bebe Cool’s musical journey began in 1997 when he made a bold move to Nairobi, where he quickly became one of the first artistes to sign with Ogopa Deejays, a pioneering record label in the East African music scene.
Bebe was instrumental in establishing Uganda’s modern sound and significantly elevated the social scene in the early 2000s with his captivating voice and sometimes polarising performances.
In 2004, he joined forces with Kenyan reggae and hip-hop group Necessary Noize, comprising Wyre and Nazizi, to form the award-winning East African Bashment Crew.
The supergroup achieved continental success with hits like Africa Unite, Kube, This Tune, and Fire Anthem off their debut album Fire.
