Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka has asked security agencies in Bungoma to arrest the authors of the leaflets which are circulating in the county warning locals not to vote.
Lusaka asked the county commissioner to ensure that those behind the authoring and distribution of leaflets are dealt with accordingly.
Lusaka said Bungoma does not belong to anyone who wakes up and gives orders the way he want.
He said every Kenyan was free to participate in the tomorrow’s repeat presidential election and warned those who were threatening voters that they will not be spared.
Tension has gripped major towns of Bungoma county after leaflets were found circulated in the area warning electorates against participating in tomorrows election.
Lusaka asked those who were not willing to participate in the election to stay at home and leave those who want to vote to do so.
”We are warning those who are planning to disrupt the election that they will be dealt with, so let them remain at home if they don’t want to participate” warned Lusaka.
