Sonko bodyguards reduced as government moves to scale down officers attached to VIPs
The National Police Service has withdrawn 21 officers from Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s security team.
Sonko had 26 bodyguards yet Governors are supposed to have five. Most of them have exceeded the limit.
The withdrawal is part of a plan to recall 5,000 officers irregularly attached to VIPs.
