Uganda Labour Minister Engola assassinated by his bodyguard in Kampala

The Uganda’s Minister of State for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Colonel retired Charles Okello Engola has been assassinated by his bodyguard at his Kampala home in Kyanja suburbs.

Before his appointment, Engola, was a Ugandan politician and retired Colonel in the Uganda People’s Defence Force.

Previously, he also served State Minister for Defence in the Ugandan Cabinet.

He was born to Chief (Jago) Nasan Engola and Ketula Engola of Awangi, in Iceme, Oyam district.
