Nandi Hills MP aspirant Wesley Kogo dies in road accident

Nandi Hills parliamentary aspirant Wesley Kibet Kogo has died in a road accident in Nairobi’s Kangemi area, his family has confirmed.

According to police report, Kogo was traveling in a matatu headed for Nairobi when it rammed onto a bus.

Nairobi police traffic boss Joshua Omukata said they are investigating the incident.

“He is the only one who died then. We didn’t know he was the aspirant,” said Omukata.

He was headed for a talk show at KASS FM Radio when the accident happened at about 5.30 am.

Kogo met his death just a week before United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominations slated for Thursday next week.
