The REAL rich kids of Zimbabwe: Silver Rolls-Royces, bundles of cash courtesy of Mugabe

Welcome to the world of Zimbabwe’s wealthy young elite, where silver plated Rolls-Royces and private jets lined in gold are just the norm – and showing off your tens of millions are essential social media viewing.

Even though the country is ranked only second to Congo as the poorest on the planet, these politicians’ off-springs and young entrepreneurs prove that there is still plenty of money floating around the country.

There are the sisters dubbed the ‘Zimbabwean Kardashians’ – flaunting their wealth around in the poverty-stricken nation, as well as Church preachers, or ‘prophets’ as they like to call themselves, showing off fancy cars and bundles of fifty dollar bills.

The pictures are all the more astonishing for since the economy has been decimated in the last two decades and inflation is currently running at 348 per cent.

While the military has taken over the country and are currently negotiating President Robert Mugabe’s exit, these filthy rich youngsters are showcasing their wealth all over their social media.

Top of the list is Mugabe’s notorious sons Robert Jr, 24, and Chatunga, 20. In September, the former bought two Rolls Royce.

While studying American Architecture in Dubai, Junior turned up in a black Batmobile, which he showcased to his 23,000 followers on Instagram, and showed off travelling in a private jet, with an interior decked out completely in gold.

His brother Chatunga regularly hits the African headlines as one of the continent’s most outrageous spenders.

Two weeks ago, a video emerged of him pouring a bottle of Ace of Spades champagne over his diamond-encrusted Rolex watch. Chatunga tells his Instagram followers, with a less than subtle picture of his diamond encrusted Rolex: ‘$60,000 on the wrist when your daddy run the whole country ya know’.

Despite outrage at their spending, including mum ‘Gucci’ Grace’s penchant for designer clothes, they continue unashamedly, with Junior saying: ‘They keep on talking, we keep on rolling.’

But they’re not the only ones spending big in a country where 93 per cent of the nation live below the poverty line.

The so-called ‘Zimbabwe Kardashians’ – Vanessa Chironga and her sister Michelle, both 28 – are daughters of property mogul and politician Philip Chiyangwa, a ‘nephew’ of Mugabe, who is worth $280 million.

Claiming to live ‘humbly’, Michelle drives around in a $100,000 Victoria Beckham 2013 edition Land Rover while Elle had a $65,000 wedding and honeymoon in Seychelles, claiming: ‘It was actually a low-cost wedding.’

Expensive fur, lion-skin handbags, and even gold designer high heels on top of Michelle’s birthday cake – nothing is too extravagant. Vanessa’s Instagram is @Mrsc_Blessed (15.5k followers) and Michelle’s @wegettinmcmoney (17.9k followers).

Sidney Himbara Jr tops the lot for parading his wealth online, as his father Sidney Sr is one of the richest businessmen in the nation thanks to his chum Mugabe giving his dubious firm all the contracts to oversee Zimbabwe’s infrastructure.

@Its_sirsid shows off his various holidays around the world in private jets, yachts and a steady stream of ridiculously expensive cars.

To top it all off, he showed his 5860 followers his customised alligator skin, gold plated Giuseppe Zanotti $14,000 trainers and a golden revolver that fires out lipstick pellets.

None of them display any concern for the mile-long bread queues that are common in the country, instead, often telling their critics to stop hating.

In Zimbabwe, being a preacher is big business – and even bigger bucks. The preachers go under the guise of ‘prophets’ touring the continent doing religious gigs on a par with Madonna concerts.

Uebert Angel is one of the largest and CEO of The Billion Group and self-declared ‘GODFATHER of the PROPHETIC MOVEMENT’.

Recently, he posted a picture of him next to a yellow Lamborghini, telling his 147,000 followers: ‘Money is an intellectual entity, it doesn’t enjoy the company of fools.’

Flamboyant businessman Genius Kadungure, 33, is known for flaunting his wealth and splashing out on pretty much everything.

When he’s moves from city to city, he will often let his 81,800 followers he’s in town, advertising his spectacular parties, which includes a $17,000 all-white party and dropped another $32,000 on his 28th birthday flying friends from Zimbabwe to Botswana. He posts pictures of all his car keys to his luxury fleet from Porsches to Bentleys.

Controversial property mogul Frank Buyanga (and alleged loan shark) wines and dines with heads of states all round the world and has a so many cars that it’d make most of Hollywood blush including a $320,000 Rolls Royce.

Buyanga was Zimbabwe’s youngest ever millionaire at 35 and owns property all around the continent and now resides most of the time in South Africa. When asked by a local TV crew how many cars he has, he quipped: ‘How am I supposed to know?’

Zimbabwe’s richest ‘kid’ is Wicknell Chivayo, or Sir Wicknell, as he likes to be known to his 75,400 followers. The larger-than-life character, in every possible way, likes to post all his luxuries online. His excuse for buying custom-made cars is that ‘I fit comfortably, the seats are easily adjustable’ for his ample frame.

The 37-year-old’s taste for luxury has left many speculating on the source of his fortunes. He owns several properties in Harare, drives the latest cars and often spends time overseas, especially in the United States where he buys expensive designer clothes and cars.
