President Uhuru Kenyatta has been declared winner of the fresh presidential election held on October 26.
According to IEBC President Uhuru won 98.26 per cent of the vote cast with a turnout of 38.84 per cent of the total registered voters in the country. This is half of the votes cast on August 8 general election that was disputed at the Supreme Court.
National Supper Alliance leader Raila Odinga pulled out of the race 16 days to the election and urged his supporters to boycott it.
The fresh election was suspended in 25 constituencies which are all opposition strongholds amid security fears.
The commission said those results would not affect the final outcome so it could proceed with its announcement.
