The Kenyan Supreme Court has been unable to raise a quorum of judges to rule on whether the election should go ahead tomorrow.
Chief Justice David Maraga said DCJ Philomena Mwilu could not make to the court because her bodyguard was shot and injured yesterday, Justice Njoki Ndungu was out of Nairobi and she missed a flight to the city therefore she could not be in court on time, Justice Mohammed Ibrahim was out of the country for medical reasons and Justices Jackton Ojwang and Smokin Wanjala were not able to appear in court.
Kenya’s presidential election re-run will go ahead tomorrow, a lawyer for the election commission has been quoted by Reuters news agency as saying.
