The hearing of a case in which three directors and senior managers of Dubai Bank Limited are charged with stealing over Sh 48.1 million was adjourned until November 1, after one of the accused persons failed to appear in court.
The case was scheduled to proceed before Milimani principal magistrate Peter Ooko but it could not proceed since one of the accused namely Prof. Wilson Nandwa who is also a lawyer was not present in court for the hearing.
He was said to have traveled out of the country on his official duty. Prof. Nandwa is jointly charged alongside Ali Sheikh, Abdul Zulbeidi and four former managers namely Adam Ali, Faith Munyori, Robert Gatobu and Mary Immaculate Nyawira.
The accused persons have since denied charges of conspiracy to defraud Bank of Africa Kenya limited Sh 48,180,000 being the directors and senior officials of Dubai Bank limited.
