Ten days remaining to close down voter registration exercise, voter apathy is still felt in parts of Murang’a county.
It is for that reason the political leaders are looking ways to woe those people to turn out and register as voters so as to take part in voting come 2017 august polls.
In Kigumo constituency a parliamentary aspirant Dr. Macharia Ben has sponsored a 2-day free medical camp to the residents to woe them come and register as voters.
While addressing the media, the former Catholic University Lecturer said there was no other option than to push the people to appear and register as voters once they are treated.
Dr. Macharia said he found it better to take advantage of doctors strike and looming hunger that has faced the residents hence as they sought treatment they take votes.
The move was hailed by residents who sought treatment services confirming they are faced by hunger and cant afford to seek medication in private hospital which are operational.
The varsity lecturer called upon the central Kenya region people to turn out early before the exercised closed as during the final day the BVR machines will not exceed the number manageable to register for that specific day which is 70 people.
