NASA chief Raila Odinga wants to boycott the election “for no reason” as he has sensed defeat, the President has said.
Uhuru Kenyatta criticised Raila at the start of his three-day Coast tour on Monday.
The two are to vie again following the Supreme Court’s cancellation of Uhuru’s August 8 victory over adherence to election laws and the constitution.
The historic ruling followed a petition by the Opposition leader, who said he decided to give the court a second chance following the disputed 2013 general election.
Following the success, Raila has made demands including IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba’s resignation.
The NASA team has also rejected amendments to elections and will hold demonstrations on Mondays and Fridays until the demands are met.
Raila and co-prinicpals Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) have declared there will be no repeat election if their “irreducible minimums” are not effected.
