The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will on Thursday be closed for one hour to allow the Kenyan military prepare for this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations.
The closure, which will happen between 11 am and 12 noon, is set to cause slight flight delays.
“We wish to advise our esteemed guests travelling through JKIA on Thursday 5th October that we expect slight flight delays due to Nairobi airport closure. We apologize to our guests for any inconvenience caused,” KQ stated in a notice shared on social media.
